Peters’ is excited to be holding the third Superstar Contest Food Drive and hope businesses, such as your’s, will help us achieve these goals. The event is a great way for you to advertise your business and help the community. Last year’s event was a huge success with 8,451 food items being donated to several food banks. Your help can make this bigger and make a difference.
We would like to offer you a chance to sponsor the event and give back to the community! As a member of the Business Partnership Program your business’ logo will be presented on our marketing materials and provide a sponsorship “Food Drive Can” to be displayed at your business. As a sponsor, you help get the word out by mentioning our contest to your customers using your website, Facebook page, email or newsletter. Together let’s strive to make this a record setting event and donate thousands of items to help out charitable organizations. The only cost to you would be the canned food contribution of your choice or a monetary amount so we may purchase your food items for you.
In addition, Peters Photography is holding a photo contest that is open to the public and businesses. Individuals or families will come in for a session designed by one of our photographers. We will then choose one image to post on the Peters Photography Facebook page and website. The public will then place their votes for the photo of their choice by donating food items to the studio. The photo with the most items donated will win a prize package valued more than $6,000! To help keep track which photo is in the lead, Peters will publicly tally on Facebook in the comments section of each photo.
The following information further explains this event, how it will work and any other details. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Janine Killian or Jennifer Rotolo at our London Studio, 740-852-2731.
With your help let’s hope to exceed our expectations and have fantastic success.

Originating as a wedding photography studio and only occasionally offering portrait sessions, Peters Photography began as Main Street Photography in 1974 and evolved from the living room of Larry and Karen Peters’ home!
Larry Peters and Peters Photography is the bedrock of innovation for Senior Photography, and their techniques are often copied throughout the country. Over the years, the studio has created hundreds of photography trends and continues to develop new and stunning portraits to this day.
"We love our pictures. Janine and Brian always do an awesome job and they treat my kids like their own! I always tell my friends and show my pictures by Peters! Amy was very knowledgeable and helpful."
ABOUT OUR STORY
Larry began as a full time teacher at West Jefferson High School and later worked for his father-in-law at Creamer Metal Products. He maintained an evening and weekend business as a photographer and continued to work to become educated in improving his craft in photography.
It was Larry’s goal to one day open a 9 to 5 portrait business so he could stop working Saturday weddings. Though it took 15 years, creative new approaches to making his portraits unique in the industry finally made his dream a reality! Peters Photography became the first studio in Ohio to offer outdoor senior portraits, a “new” style of photography that attracted people from all over. By 1981, it became necessary to add a separate entrance for clients to the existing studio, which was still the Peters’ home.
Their daughter, Janine Peters Killian, is an award winning Master Photographer who specializes in children and family photography. Janine earned her Master degree in 1992, and was recognized as the youngest female Master Photographer in the US. Janine is known at the studio as the Baby Whisper because her patience and magic she has with the newborn babies.
Brian Killian, Master of Photography, Photographic Craftsman, his technical training in commercial photography from Ohio Institute of Photography. After graduating in 1989, he went to work with Larry Peters, seen by most as the leader in high school senior photography. Operating from two Ohio locations, Peters’ Photography studios are known for their quality and incredible variety. Brian continues to be innovative in creating a student driven vibe among the studios. Sets and backgrounds have been designed and created by his team that rival interior and exterior architects show projects.
Brian and Janine have been married for 25 years and have 3 wonderful children.
