I've been gifted an experience, what's that include?: In today’s digital world, it’s easy to let photos sit on phones or laptops. But wall portraits still play a powerful role in preserving family legacies. Our mission is to bring more family portraits into homes—because studies show that seeing them daily boosts confidence, self-worth, and belonging, especially for children.

Enjoy an all-inclusive portrait experience—featuring a complimentary $350 session and an heirloom-quality 14" portrait (valued at $700)—crafted to create meaningful artwork you’ll treasure for a lifetime.

This means the total value of your certificate is over $1,000! To secure your gifted experience, we ask for a fully refundable booking deposit of just $150—ensuring your spot in our calendar and reserving the studio exclusively for your family.

Your experience includes a private photography session with our skilled photographers, followed by a private viewing session to see the beautiful images from your session.

During this time, you’ll select the image you’d like as your gift portrait. Many families also take this opportunity to go beyond the gift portrait, if you choose to go this route, your qualified designer will guide you through the best display options for the images you love most. Though there’s no expectation to do so.

You can expect to be at the studio for 1.5 - 2 hours. Actual photography time is about 30 - 45 minutes. We just want plenty of time for everyone to get settled and allow for any breaks if needed.
How many people are permitted in a photography session?: We are delighted to accommodate families with up to 8 members in our studio, ensuring that everyone feels comfortable and at ease during the session. Depending on the mix of adults and children, it could be more.
What are families wearing for their session?: For the Legacy project, we’re aiming for a rich, elegant, timeless look. Think attire for a fancy dinner, cocktail wedding, or graduation.

Solid medium-to-dark tones photograph best. Avoid bright colors, bold patterns, and white, as they draw attention away from creating a cohesive family loo
How does the refundable deposit work?: When we first launched the Legacy project, we didn’t require a refundable deposit—but no-shows and last-minute cancellations became a problem. We ask for 2 weeks’ notice to cancel or reschedule when possible, but we understand life happens.

After your session, if the gift portrait is the best fit, we’ll refund your deposit. If you choose to go beyond the gift portrait, you can apply the deposit toward that.
Do I have to purchase any images?: We know choosing the right images can be tough, and we want you to feel confident ordering with us.

Your experience includes a gifted artwork piece, you can select a single image for a ready-to-frame portrait. Or, you can choose to use your gift as an artwork credit and apply the credit toward your order.

There’s no obligation to purchase more, but if you do, our designer is here to assist.

We will hold onto your images for 4 - 6 weeks (until the production of your order is complete) before we have to remove them from our server. Any images you order including your gifted image will be kept forever.
Do you have digital options?: Absolutely—we understand how important it is to share images with family and friends today. The Legacy project’s mission is to help families bring printed portraits into their homes.

If you’d prefer a digital version to share on social media or print however you'd like, you can exchange your deposit for a digital file of your gift portrait. Plus, any additional images you order will include web-ready versions perfect for sharing online!
